What age group will be most likely interesting in VR?

The best age group that will be interestied in VR would be the adolescent age group, so maybe from the ages of 13 - 22. For this you would choose focus groups of people of different ages as you would be able to see who is more interested in VR compared to others.

Options on the ease of access to software to games development?

You would probably do a questionnaire for this as you can see what age groups are the most interested and  will get a wide range of different answers as the recipient wont be swayed by opinions of others like in a focus group. Additionally you can ask more questions that are more complex which might be needed for this topic.

How technology has impacted the way media is distributed?

The best thing for this is an interview as you can ask questions and see the reactions to the questions you ask. They can also have a much more complex answer to the questions as it is sometimes easier to say what is on your mind when immediately asked the question.

Destructiod - this is a good site used for games news as there are many unique articles for a wide assortment of games. It is a good source as it has lots of cross references in the text from credible sources such as Euro gamer and different links related to the information such as robert space industries ect.

Games radar - this is also another credible source as the information is given in a neutral voice with no bias, and at the end often gives the positives and negatives of the information that has been given. There are lots of references in the text, often linking to other articles on the webite.

MetaCritic - this is with more opinion based material, with lots of reviews from different people regarding their opinion on a game and rating the game through their eyes so is good to get a different perspective on a game.

Nintendo life - this is a very good site to get information on a game from as it has lots of references including the background of the game and mechanics of the game

Advantage/ disadvantage of open ended questions:
  • they gather opinions and thoughts of the recipient, getting much deeper and more thorough and subjective information.
  • There's no limit to the question so you can understand them more fully.
  • there's the potential for new information and customer insight
  • They are time consuming to answer
  • your more likely to get a lower response rate than with close ended questions
  • they are difficult to compare because it isn't based on numbers and percentages

Advantage/ disadvantage of close ended questions:
  • Easier to get a quick and easy answers
  • It helps you by getting measurable and quantative data
  • gives better understanding through answer options
  • lack of detailed information
  • cannot help in getting customer opinions and comments
  • doesnt cover all possible answers
  • can be suggestive so can lead to bias
