 VFX Camera Movements

PAN/Whip pan - Tripod moves. Used to follow a character from one side of the room to the other.

Tilt - moving the camera up and down, used for following a character up or down.

Pedestal - Where the camera physically moves up or down . Used for reveals.

Track/ Dolly/ Truck - Where the camera physically moves left and right generally parallels to the action. Ark is where it curve's around.

Crane/ Jib/ Boom Arc - crane  is when the camera is fixed to one side of the crane. Jib is mounted on a tripod or similar (Boom Arm).

Handheld/ stabilizer - Handheld where the operator holds the samara and stabilizers stabilizes the shots.

Zoom (in and out) - Where the camera zooms in and out, crash zoom is used to focus you attention on a single item.

Slow Motion/ speed - For slow motion, you need a higher fps. Speed refers to speeding up your footage, like a timelapse.
